a long long long day
Started off finding a boot repairer, to get my boots fixed, then walked over to Buckingham Palace...10am and it was crowded!..."Twas the week before Christmas"
then we walked along Birdcage walk along St James Park to the Churchill Museum and the Cabinet Rooms, which was excellent!
Finally left there around one, and headed off to the London eye for a view of the city, and it was pretty clear up there, so that was money well spent.
It is so so busy!and crowded, and people just charge through you!
Jake bought some candy roasted peanuts from a street vendor which were brilliant, and we headed off to Trafalgar Square. This was pretty busy too, but the lions were not all covered in children, so got to climb them, and got some pics

the weather is amazing. Today was 12, calm, dry a little cloudy. we have not had a drop of rain down here at all.
Then we went to Tottenham Crt Rd, to find some games for the kids for Christmas, and decided to walk back home.
Madness.
Just Madness on Oxford st, so we cut through to the back streets, and zigzagged home that way.
The clothes are amazing in the shops. Not seeing too many looking dressed up, but the fashions in the shops are lovely...Boots boots boots, Beautiful, long long boots to the knee, tucked into tight jeans or pants, swing coats to the knee, ankle boots with black tights, everything is simple, really simple, including the colours, greys, beige, black, taupe, creme, in the shops, anyway, but I guess as most people in the street are tourists, you see a lot of fleece and puffy jackets.
My pedometer was sabotaged today.. I dont know who to point the finger at, but the first 3 or so kilometres did not register. after I took the lock off, we then walked another 8.9 kilometres.
Tonight we have to go out and replace the things we used at Michaels house,(Jake has found Bacon and HP sauce sandwiches) finish some washing, buy him flowers to replace these ones, that looked so brilliant when we arrived, and tidy the place up.
He headed off to the Canary Islands for 6 days to let us have his place, which was such a lovely thing.. He did it for Sandra, which has been so brilliant for us.

The time is only 5.30. The kids are watching TV, Mark is sleeping, and I am at the table listening to the conversations boom up the building as people walk home.
Tomorrow we get on the train and head back to Sandras for a few days, for Christmas,,,Its mad down here, so it will be good to get into the country,
