What a morning. I hardly slept, I kept thinking of 8am when the Manager at the Travel lodge would be on duty....
Anyway,8am, I call. They say call back at 9am.. Call at 9am, "Duty Manager is off until 3pm" they wont give me the name of the Area Manager so I asked for the Manager of Travellodge UK. then the name of the Housekeeping outsource company, and the manager, telling them that I needed to know as I was reporting it to the Police.
Then about 10 mins later, they call to say it has been found, in the linen. The linen that they would not let us check last night wen we asked.
The linen they told us was gone offiste the previous day.
Anyway, I got it back. Thats what matters, I guess...
so that was a highlight.
Then we went to St Albans for the day
I went with Sophie, a friend from the Internet who picked me up..
Had a good day, walking coffee, looking, then lunch, where we met up with Mark and Family.
After that Sophie left, and we went to find Sopwell Lane where Marks Grandfather was born and raised, and took pictures, also went throught the cathedral.
St Albans is built around an old Roman Town..
Really picturesque.
Back to Sandras, for Fish and Chips, and Hannah went up the street to a house where some girls live, watched some soaps, and had her first girl fix in 2 weeks, with Molly, her little cousin and the neighbours. Jake Mark and Simon built a bonfire and burnt some old rubbish and a book case.
It was another fine sunny day, but chilly with a cold wind, but the fine weather has been wonderful
Now we are back at the Hangar Hotel in Hatfield Business Park.
This place is really interesting, its the old Aerospace centre, with control tower, on the edge of the area where they filmed part of "saving Private Ryan".. and it is so nice, Our rooms are the old Officers offices, and the beds are brilliant.
Tomorrow we head down to London, to stay at Sandras friends place, in Mayfair, which is next door to Selfidges.. we stay there till Tuesday, then back up here to Hatfield/Digswell. Sandras next door neighbours are going away for Christmas, so we will stay in their place, which is very very generous of them.
so, more from London, here are some pics
