Arrivaderci Roma

We had our last day here today...
We managed to get to the Vatican early, and went to the Museum.. Jacob got lost, and a lovely policeman finally found us..We actually have not had a contingency for lost children..Funny, really, when you think about it.
We just sort of looked at each other and said, we had better go different ways and call each other if we find him.
Its an amazing amazing place. Fabulous Egyptian exhibition, and then a labyrinth of corridors and chapels to walk through to the Sistine Chapel.
Beautiful,
Left there around 3pm.
Walked to the Spanish steps, had afternoon tea there on the steps, no bum pinchers in sight, perhaps too fewer tourists, just a loud bunch of 17 year old American Paris Hilton Wannabes who are travelling around in a stretch limo...ppohht
Then we walked to the Pantheon, which is now the Basilica of the St Mary of Martyrs.
Such a gorgeous day, sunny, not too cold, no rain as predicted, so a bonus.
Now, off to dinner in the Hotel, when the Inaugeration of Barack Obama is over.
Then pack,
and leave tomorrow for Florence.
