In Rome! Yeah!!

Jake with the fast train to Rome
Arrival in Rome

and theres the school! At least it means it will be quiet at night and on the weekends??
We were up early, to catch the train to Naples, then on to Rome

Well, we were up earlier than that, with mad banging on the door, with Jake yelling, "Hannah is Sick"
and then stumbled next door to the mess.
Threw Jake into our room, (who promptly went back to sleep)and got dressed, threw Hanah in the shower, cleaned her, then cleaned up their room.
A note for the wise traveller.

Dont let daughter have Pizza, strawberry gelato and Risott, after a scary trip on the wild bus to Amalfi and back!

OK
so finally packed up cleaned up, headed off.

Naples Train station is a dodgy bloody place
Gypsies, beggars, homeless people and odd looking slimy men everywhere.
We sat in the cafe for an hour as it had a security guard on the door.

Finally got on the fast train to Rome

Lucky Lucky us.
Opposite a group of nobs heading to Rome for a football game

Playing music on their phones on screechy high, blaring Eurotrash music next to us(seating of 4 configeration)

Anyway,
Got to Rome, got in cab, and now in Hotel Novodumus
the kids have a basic room, and Mark and I upgraded to a suite with Jacuzzi and terrace, overlooking a school, but heh, 5 mins from the Vatican.
Its sunny and warmer, but the Taxi driver(I use the term loosley) said it has rained for 3 months solid, so this is brilliant.

Off now, to the Vatican area, for a wander, then plan the week.
Now, I know I emailed this but, I will put it here too.
Mark has this bloody frugal efficient thing going on.
Yes, you should buy something, but for everything you buy, you need to ditch something.
Eg, buy 2 light sweaters in London, gave one heavy one to Sandra.
Bought Hannah some new boots, and threw out the older ones that had worn out.
I found a gorgeous pair of wedge heeled brown distressed leather brown boots with a side buckels in Amalfi yesterday. Lovely, just lovely.
So in lies the dilemma
God, I am really going to miss Jacob so much

The frugal thing is just a protestant habit. You can pray for him seeing as you're near the Vatican! Sandra.

Well, at least Jake had a good run. I'll bet the shoes are fabulous!
