Soldiering on

We saw a flicker of life in the old girl (Hannah)and took a short walk to the Vatican.

So beautiful, and the Nativity scene and tree are still in the centre of the square.. Then we followed the River down, where Jake went ice skating on the banks of the Tiber, next to a gorgeous back drop, Castelle St Angelo.

Of course, we then managed to get lost, and now31/2 hours later, we are home. Hannah has gone back to bed, but is definitely a lot better.

Tomorrow, we get out and about early.

Now, I am having a spa bath, and bed.

I wore heels yesterday for the first time in 7 weeks, and my knees are sore.
