We caught the train from Rome to Florence this morning, and I was getting emails all morning from team members.. Our team, QLD ENDO won Sales team of the year!!! I have a feeling that they may still be celebrating!
This is the best news, as our naive and young ruler made this a team goal, when we all couldnt really see it happening at the time, when he came on board, but we did it.

So, lots of phone calls, emails, texts, very very big moment for us all.

Plus Tracey is now a senior product specialist, which has been on our wish list for a while.
So, a pity I missed it, as I do love the glory of it all when we actually win something, but I would not have missed this for the world.

so, found our way to Relais Villa L'Olmo.(we are the only Guests. Imagine how quiet the tourism is right now? the Credit impact is really hitting hard.

This place is better than the website could have shown it..
stunning, just stunning, built overlooking 70 hectares of vines and olives on the hills outside Florence...You walk up a farm track, and it is the old oil press rooms converted to apartments, and other small sheds now luxury cottages, on the top of thehill, very very nice, big with stunning views back to the village or off to the west. 10 km outside Florence.

Such a great find..So from here we will base ourselves until about the 28th or 29th when we may head to Innsbruck for 2 days, before getting back to Zurich to fly to Singapore

We unloaded, sorted out the internet, and then Mark and I went off to find the town, and have a look around. A big centre piazza, with some cafes, a bank, and a church or two...

We have done some grocery shopping, and are now back home. Its about 400 metres to the city centre.
Just cooked Hamburgers, real hamburgers with lettuce tomato, grated carrot , tomato sauce, the works.. The kids have craved them. I think its an overload of Panini, pasta and Pizza.
Also bought some espresso coffee, some local beer, some local pastries and desserts for the kids, some chocolate, of course and starting to plan tomorrow.. The weather will be sunny, so we may head into Florence for the day.
Mark negotiated a rainy day movie price for the kids.. 9 Euros for unlimted Pay TV, as we have 3 really rainy days forecasted and I think that this is as good a place to sit and watch the rain as anywhere!

and this is gorgeous, and the heating is brilliant,

and its all good!
