33,380 steps.thats over 22 km apparantly
I think the kids are going to kill me.
They are so sick of walking, and they have worked out that I am doing this obbsessively, not because I want to get from A toB, but because I am actually wearing the pedometer.
we woke up at Michaels, with Molly staying with us..had breakfast and took the kids down to Selfridges to see the Christmas windows, while we waited for Simon and Sandra to turn up.
The best one is the totally drunk upside down Santa surrounded in Cranberry Vodka bottles
Then we headed over to Speakers Corner at Hyde Park which is only a few blocks away.
Wow
An experiment in the Unmedicated. there was a bizarre older lady, who was cursing and swearing at a group of Muslim men, who were coming right back at her, then a Black Jamaican guy, with a Jewish Flag who was anti evolution(if your grandfather was a fish, why dont you speak fish language??? Makes perfect sense eh?) and a mad man with a horn on his head, who had stopped for a cuppa..The kids loved it, but were pretty shocked at the vitriole and attacks at everyone..
After that, home for lunch then headed off to the tube, to Westminster and caught the cruise ferry to the Tower Bridge to see the tower of London.. then walked across the bridge over to the HMS Belfast where Mark took the kids on board..Children under 16 seem to be free on most things and at most exhibitions. Hannah and I wandered around, then we went down to the German Sausage stand, got some Gluwein Mulled wine, and back to the ferry and finally home.
After we got the kids settled Mark and I went out for a walk and bought them some McDonalds, and home. The American Embassy is just behind us,, Hyde Park is up the road, Regents Square around the corner..
Now going to settle in and watch the news. The kids are bathing, Marks caught up the washing, and I have bought a Sunday Paper..

I have torn the sole from a pair of boots, so I need to find a shoe repairman in the Tube Station tomorrow morning.
Off to the Cabinet rooms and war museum tomorrow, and on the London Eye, then have found a great street of Italian pata places off Marylbone st for dinner

Speakers Corner...!!!!
Where the bloody hell were you???
Ruth should have knocked that old bat off the box and started spraying off in a good Ozzy accent...
You could have started with the first/second world war, then moved onto Vietnam and then the Iraqi war. All wonderful places for a quick visit and a knickerbockerglory, but quite the crap hole under fire, and you poor Aussies had to do all the Brits dirty work...
C'mon guys, theres a good ten minutes moaning right there..
