The German Next door neighbours left today.. NO towels on pool chairs!

We took the car back to Florence today, and it appears they didnt notice the cracked hubcap from Marks illegal Uturn yesterday.Then we headed to the Cathedral of Florence, and climbed 492 steps up to the top of the dome.

Boy oh boy. that was tough, really tough going, one knee is sore and didnt lke it.

Then, after having some lunch, we walked to the Piazza Michelangelo, which is way up above the city, and had a gelati on the steps, looking at the city, with the snow on the hills behind... really beautiful and so clear

Of course, he was the first up to the top of the Dome



The ceiling of the dome is painted with some shockingly graphic art, the lower portion of each segment being representaive of Hel.. This is one of them, of the devil.

Imagine, being a small kiddy, sitting in church , looking up, and seeing this 3 mouthed goat devil. Boy oh Boy, that would have kept me honest
