this is Day 2 of a shocking headache over my right eye. I think it is sinus, hopefully not tooth.
With the amount of money spent on dental work in the past 12 months, it better not be dental!
The rain has arrived, but thats fine, we really have been very lucky with the weather.
Sorrento is a pretty place, and yesterday was a real experience!
On Sunday, all the church bells ring, almost all day, competing with the smart cars, the Bambino cars, and the noise of people,
All the roads are barricaded to traffic, and people walk, stroll, meander, like peacocks all morning, stop for Siesta, then start again at 4 pm, until almost Midnight.
Ok, Lads.
Manbags are in , in a big way if you are in Sorrento.Possibly in Wilowvale, and the Southern parts of Brisbane too? but, the have to be low slung, over one shoulder, preferably Gucci, with the red and green strap
with shiny patent leather man jackets, tight tight jeans and as much Gucci, Pucci, Prada and D&G , MaxMara,Fiorelli,as you can paste over your body
or Mums ,its tight tight leggins, high boots and big hair, fancy hair, and huge Sunnies.
On a Sunday at least..
We walked to a fishing village last night, then did a climb up the rock path back up to Sorrento, so at east 2 hours walking, but apart from that it was lazy, washing, sorting, reading British Sunday papers, and cooked some dinner.
We found a cool little shop, and bought some Chopped Panchetta, creme, and made a Carbonara
Lunch was Salami and Cheese on Bread.
And we have the Espresso down to an artform,
It must be the water?
either way, I am getting one of these machines, and trying it at home.
Off to Herculaneum today, with coats and Brollies.
This city was covered in actual Lava, so is smaller than Pompeii and apparantly, better preserved, the home of a distant cousin of Caesar, who has a huge estate that was uncovered there
Tomorrow, we will take the bus to Amalfi.
Sorrento is a good place to Base, one hour on the train to Naples, with Pompeii on that Line,
same distance by Bus to Amalfi,
But having found a good safe place, with open space, a separate room for the kids, WIFI, washing machine, our own kitchen, and comfortable beds, with BBC, this is a good good base.
The trains are not free, but there is no checking of tickets, no validation things are working, so we have had the same tickets all week,
We have been reading the news and the weather online.
I think it is this week that the J&J team all got o Fiji? Maybe some are there already?
Hope the weather improves over there,
Watched a great debate last night on BBC"was George Bush the worst US president of the past 50 years"
then the kids watched the last episode of Jakes Christmas Present from Aunty Sandra
"Black Adder goes Forth"

Funny thing... The word verification to publish this comment today was 'GONAD".. Is God trying to tell me something?
Listen Mark, not that it helps much, but I have a massive 600 page hard bound book at home about Migranes... Lots of recipes and ideas to help the sufferer, which in this case is you.
I checked the easiest method for "pain in the arse partner alliviation"
Basically you just smash this 4kg book over your wife's head if she keeps on moaning about headaches. Ofcoarse, the book is at my place, so you will just have to borrow one of those ancient bibles with iron cladding that they have over there...
Thank me later for the tip.
Doughboy....
