The Ceiling of the Barons Hall in the castello Neuvo Naples, for Sandra. Couldnt get low enough to get it all in

Mosaic from Pompeii

We went on the train To Naples today..

Mario warned us not to take handbags, backpacks, big cameras etc, so we left wallets at home, and just took some cash, and umbrellas.

Got the express train in,

What a chaotic mad place, cars everywhere, scooters the same, narrow streets, and so alive..

It was a dark cloudy showery day, but warm enough, about 13 degrees..

Walked for about 40 mins to the city centre

We went to the Museum, to the Pompeii and gladiator exhibitions, and wandered there for about 3 hours. Then found a pizza place, had lunch for about 1/2 of what Venice cost!

After lunch we walked down to the port, and visited the Castello Neuvo, on the waterfront, built in the 12 th century.
Very impressive.

After, we walked all the way back to the station, and came home by 6pm.
Stopped at the market, bought dinner, and cooked hamburgers, baby potatoes and a salad.
Mark and I then got online
We are now thinking, of doing one of 2 things..
of heading to Sicily, and then over to Malta.

OR
hire a car, after Rome, drive up through Tuscany,Pisa, Florence, and on to Marseille, then back to Zurich in time to fly home
We will go see Carla tomorrow and have a chat, and see what she thinks

We are cowards.
Our bones are now warm, so we are trying to keep out of the bitter cold.

Perhaps it will warm up up north?

Just a night of thinking out loud.

Both routes are appealing.
