Ok,18 months ago in Paris, Mark and I had lunch alone at a cafe,on Rue Mouffetard, and promised that we would do this again, travel with the kids, before they dont want to travel with us...
So we decided that we were going to go away for 10 or so weeks of holiday, I mean, the Aussie dollar was strong, interest rates were down, employment was good,Price of oil was up, jobs were secure, all the stars were aligned..until everything went haywire......
Mark and Jake have gone off to organise 4 push bikes, and we are off to explore around this town and countryside.

Hey Hey the Smith Family Robinson, When you get to Zurich, you will arrive at the Main Station, (Hauptbahnhof) Take the MAIN exit leading to BahnhofStrasse, there is a restaurant right in front of the station building called the Da Capo, and above that a restaurant called Au Premier, These are the places I worked in for a year.(Bloody Expensive, so take a couple of credit cards), Simply walk, or catch a tram down Bahnhof Strasse to the lake, then come back on the other side of the river through the really old part of town, its great. If you have time, there is a Lindt Chocolate Factory just a couple of K's out of town... It's my favourite city in Europe.... Have Fun... Doughboy!
Hey Mark Ruth hannah Jake I'm off to London tommorow staying over at Micheals and working next day too so will miss your final days in Europe so Bon Voyage for the last leg and I hope you will keep the blog going for a couple more days after you get home- it would be nice to see some pics of people and places downunder! I drove 180 miles today on top of a long day at West Dean college nr Chichester. The drive was mainly in the dark and either jams on the M25 or fast winding headlight blinding traffic through Haslemere that place near where you stayed with the horse trainers years ago. I'm wrecked. Wouldn't mind a bit of Dolce Vita just now. It's been a pleasure seeing you and also via the blog. Lotsa love, Sandra x
